New Beginnings Nursery, in New Road, is running a holiday playscheme for the under fives which allows parents and relatives to log in from work or home and watch them at play.
Webcam access is strictly controlled and limited to the parents and relatives only. The nursery hopes webcam will serve to reassure parents. It is not intended to be interactive, though, as nursery bosses think that would be too disruptive. Ms Shannon said the nursery takes a back to basics stance on food and toys. The nursery only feeds youngsters freshly prepared organic meals and believes in providing natural play materials including traditional wooden toys. The club runs from 8am until 6pm Monday to Friday from August 22 until September 2. |
Nursery goes onto net
Nursery spokesman Alyson Shannon said: "The
cameras are really intended for the nursery when we open in September to
allow parents to check up on their kids throughout the day but they are
perfect for grandparents or other relatives who live a long way from the
children to see them too."
