webcam plan for parents
Les Enfants Nursery is being built in Woodside of Culloden, Inverness.
The NurseryCam video system allows parents to see their children via the internet at any time.
Highlands and Islands Enterprise Inverness and East Highland has contributed 3,990pounds towards the cost of the project.
A number of nurseries in the UK have installed webcams into their playrooms to give parents peace of mind about their children's welfare.
There will also be an after school club where children can be picked up by minibus from local primary schools and taken to the nursery.
Denise Barras, director of Les Enfants, said she has been working closely with the Care Commission and the Inverness Childcare and Family Resource Partnership.
She said: "Every aspect of a child's needs has been considered."
Fiona Morrison, of the resource partnership, and Highlands and Islands Enterprise's Denise Pirie recently visited the site of the new nursery.
Les Enfants will be recruiting up to 29 members of staff.
An open day for parents and children is planned for 5 August.
