Children's nursery claims an internet first for Harborough

A new internet service for parents will be launched by a nursery at a special open day next week.

The Little Angels Day Nursery in Angel Row, Harborough, recently invested in a network of security web cameras across the building.

This will give parents access to a special secure website enabling them to observe their children during the day.

Parents will be able to watch their children playing, eating lunch and having fun with their friends.

"We are always looking to involve parent and make them feel part of their child's life at Little Angels," said nursery owner Bridget Crane.

"This technology offers both peace of mind and the opportunity to see how their child spends their time here."

To celebrate this latest initiative, the nursery will be holding an open day on Friday, June 17, from 10am to 5pm.

Staff will be on hand to show parents and prospective parents around and to answer questions over tea and cake.

Bridget said: "You have one childhood, so it is important that parents choose a nursery committed to doing everything possible to make sure that their child has the best possible start in life."

"At Little Angels we are constantly looking for ways to do just that."

The introduction of webcams is another in a long line of first for the nursery. Little Angels was first in the region to win a Quality Counts and Investor in People award and is also supporting national SureStart month.
